Experience & Activities

CPA Karen Mwalimu has a Master’s in Business Management (MBA) from Kenyatta
University and Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from KCA University and she is
Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPA-K).
She has over 10 years experience in consultancy, audit and accounting gained at Grant
Thornton LLP where she worked up to the rank of Senior Audit Associate. She has a wide
experience in external audit matters. She has played a key role in major assignments in the East
Africa Region. She has also been a manager in charge of several audits and consultancy
assignments leading various teams in the financial, hospitality and donor agency sectors.
